Tehran Contemporary Sounds

TCS reimagines diaspora not as an identity, but as a method: a way of listening, composing, and being together across fractures. It is an experiment in collective non-belonging — a temporary sonic commons where the displaced, the digital, and the divine resonate as one field of vibration and intensity.

Active since 2018, TCS is a Berlin-based hub, for musicians, artists and collectives living abroad as well as in Iran, with the aim to bring together the different voices and forces of the big spectrum of the Iranian contemporary experimental art and music scene, widely spread across the globe. TCS is dedicated to, creating a platform for showcasing the unique talents of the Iranian artists and musicians; creating a cross-border collaboration hub; facilitating an artistic and interdisciplinary dialogue; In the year 2022 for the third round, Tehran Contemporary Sounds festival, plans on bringing together some of the most important talents of the contemporary Iranian electronic, experimental, avant-garde, sound artists and musicians, and digital and new media artists.
